BURD! you talented man you. please draw monster statues more! love them. I'm sure that little statue is called something, and it would be helpful, if indeed it is called something, you should enlighten me. I've been away from DA for a bit... months. missed your art. you talented man you. anyway love all the detail. Where do you get the ideas for your pictures? do you just start drawing and they just come out? I wish I could draw people like you do. good work as always.

I read an old book of East-Indies Ethnology, it means that, that book is written by a Dutchman and published at 1935. I found pictures about tribal masks from Indies (maybe one of them is cannibal-tribe or somethin', LOL), and I was thinking about a statue with face similar like the mask.
And I put the statue as the guardian of a traditional-tilted house, somewhat common in ancient age of Indies, even until now. Someone may see a statue or two on the front of a big(ger) house (mostly rich people or government buildings, etc) and they always look scary, some kinda way to present a message, 'I'm watching on you, Guests...'

ya I often disapear for a month (or a few) from time to time in my internet world. Life just gets busy, but it's nice to see you too

cool info on the statue thing. and your statue looks pretty awsome, my eye picked up on it right away. it was definatly a nice accent. I just bought a house (my first very own home) This kinda inspired me, I think I might throw a couple statue creations out at the end of the driveway. Maybe make them myself? maybe. you should do some more statue art! inspire me!
